Literacy Fast Facts: “Talk Time” Is Important!

Today’s literacy Fast Fact is a quotation I took from the recent article “Beyond ‘turn it off’: How to advise families on media use” released by the American Academy of Pediatrics.  I think that while we’re working to reassure parents that a little screen time (when enjoyed together) is fine and fun, it’s important to remember that nothing beats that one-on-one, face-to-face learning. It’s how babies and young children learn best!
